| The Lord has blessed us with a very gifted worship team that have brought Wooded Hills Church into the presence of God week after week. The worship experience at Wooded Hills Church might not be what you are used to. People raising hands, kneeling, clapping, or even weeping during the music can be different to some. Yet these and other activities are simply the natural reaction to God's presence, and are documented throughout the scriptures. |

| Lifting up hands: As the worship begins and the Holy Spirit touches hearts, an attitude of thanksgiving and surrender sometimes causes us to lift our hands. "Yadah" is the Hebrew word found in the Bible which was translated "praise." It actually means to worship with an extended hand. Examples of lifting hands in worship are found throughout the Bible (e.g., Nehemiah 8:6) and it is actually encouraged by Paul in his letter to Timothy (I Timothy 2:8). Clapping hands: We believe there are times of great joy and celebration in the church and clapping hands is an outlet for the release of our praise (Psalm 47:1). If a Packer touch down is worthy of clapping, certainly God Almighty is worthy of our praise for the ultimate victory he has won! Kneeling: As we realize who we are, compared to the awesomeness of God Almighty, kneeling can become a natural, outward expression of meekness, humility and submission (Psalm 95:6-7; Luke 5:8). Worship: Jesus commanded us to worship Him not just in spirit but also in truth (John 4:24). We must worship only the true God, according to the truth of the scriptures, and it must reflect the truth of our inward condition. If we need to cry and the Lord desires it, we cry. (Luke 7:38) If he wants us to rejoice, we rejoice! (Psalm 149:2)
